November Blog

Last one until 2022! Yep, that's right, the next time I publish a blog Christmas will be over, as will 2021!! I really hope you've all had a wonderful year, this one's going to end with yet more worrying news about another blimmin variant, obviously we can't ignore it but let's focus on the positives for now.....shall we?

Motivation, what's yours?

Here's one of my motivators I'd like to share with you before we begin this month's blog......I hope you like it, perhaps you could share yours and we could start a section in the blog whereby I'll publish one of yours each month? Send me details and an image and let's see what happens.....

This image is from just one of my morning dog walks, actually I should say 'our' morning dog walks as Glenn goes every morning, at 7am, and I go when I can.

It's Milford beach, not long after sunrise, it's 10 minutes from where we live, and I think you'll agree it's absolutely stunning, not to mention enough to motivate anyone for the day ahead!

It might be painful, getting up when it's dark (especially when it's zero outside as it was this morning!), but when you arrive on the beach and this is what greets you there's nothing better. Well, a hot coffee to go with it maybe!

Right, let's get started, now you're all motivated with me, shall we....?

Christmas & New Year opening / online hours (incl. holiday) - PLEASE read!

OK, so here when we're open from now until late January (you'll understand why 'Late January' when you read on.....)

  • From Monday December 6th are open every single day until we close our doors on Christmas Eve - so what I mean is we WILL be open on Sunday the 12th & 19th December (a lot of you have asked, and so we are responding to popular demand!) - On these 2 Sundays we'll open between 11am & 4pm.

  • We will re-open on Tuesday 28th and then close again on New Year's Eve (re-opening on Jan 21st - see below).

  • We will be CLOSED from the 1st to the 20th January, re-opening on Saturday 21st, including for online orders (our last date for posting out online orders will be January 3rd).

  • Private shopping opportunity - Just to finish, if anyone would like to shop privately, at No64, then we do have a few evenings free and are happy to accommodate you and your friends / family. We'll even include nibbles and some fizz if you fancy! Just email me or call us and we'll do our best to sort something to suit you.

If anyone has any questions about any of the above, or needs anything in particular, then please don't hesitate to email me, or call us on 01590 643765.

Vouchers & Christmas stock (don't dither if we have something you like!)

No64 Gift Vouchers have been incredibly popular so far this Christmas, I guess it's because they're so easy / versatile.

Here's why a No64 gift voucher could save you a Christmas headache....

  • You can choose any amount you like (in £s I mean)
  • You can buy them in-store
  • You can order them via our website (which means you can buy the from the comfort of your own home)
  • I will make them look beautiful for you
  • We can also post them anywhere you like
  • They're valid for 6 months from the date of purchae - easy!

Now, this is absolutely NOT a sales pitch, but please, please, please if you see something you like at No64, in-store or online, especially Christmas products, it probably won't be there for long!

It's been really tricky for us to get our Christmas stock this year, which I expand upon below, and so if you see it, grab it while you can!

If it's gone then guess what, get that Gift Voucher instead! Haha.

Online reviews - please be kind enough to leave us one, here's why.....

Online reviews used to be a luxury and to you, our customers, often a bit of a nuisance and something you ignore, I did too!

However, these days, our online reviews actually affect our online visibility, which in turn affects our volume of sales online, as the businesses with the most reviews are looked upon, by the search engines, more favourably.

Nothing we can do about that, it's just the way it is, sadly!

Also, I know when I'm shopping online, if I'm looking at a number of retailers selling the product I'm after I do now take notice of the reviews businesses have, and I might even avoid a business with no reviews at all!

So, cutting to the chase, if you can spare us the time it would be wonderful if you could review us, please?

Here's the link to leave a Google review - https://g.page/r/CRgsqFvfm-WrEAg/review - thank you!

Right, begging bowl discarded of........

The last of our Christmas stock has finally arrived....thank goodness!

Unless you've been living in a cave you'll know full well that the world's supply chain (not a phrase I've ever used before, but it's now on-trend don't you know!) has been seriously affected by a number of issues, COVID, Brexit, and (believe it or not!) that ship that got stuck in the Suez Canal - Google it (other search engines are available!), it caused unbelievable problems worldwide that you just wouldn't have realised.

Anyway, back to the point, because of these things products, and components of products, have been very difficult to get and so we (not just us, obviously) have only got what we've got - I'm simply saying this as we're already into double figures of people asking "have you got one of those ???? I saw in your window last week?", and I've had to say "no, sorry, they've all gone".

So, the Christmas section on our website is now complete, and everything is also on-show, or available, in-store - while stocks last!

You have been warned - dither at your peril!!

Well, that's it! Feels a little sad that this will be the last blog before Christmas (24 sleeps to go!!), I really enjoy writing them, and I really hope you enjoy reading them.

Glenn & I cannot thank you all enough for your support this year, for helping us survive this pandemic (in terms of our business surviving), and for helping us win the fabulous Muddy award, what an amazing surprise that was.

We also wish you all an amazing Christmas, we hope we'll see plenty of you in the shop over the next few weeks (not to buy anything, that's not what I mean, just to say "Merry Christmas" is just as lovely too), and of course an amazing 2022!

Festive love to you all,

Clare (& Glenn) xx
