Monthly Instagram GIVEAWAY Competition launch

This month I'm super-excited to launch our brand NEW monthly Instagram GIVEAWAY competition. To enter all you need to do is:

  1. Follow us on Instagram (most of you probably do already but if not here's our link): @no64bh

  2. 'Like' the GIVEAWAY competition post (so when you see the competition post, just select 'Like').The beautiful Velvet 'Coral Poppy' Cushion (LA63), with Duck down filling, by Vanilla Fly of Denmark. Available in-store and online at No64 Biscuit House.

  3. Tag 2 or more of your friends who you think might also like to enter.
So, as an example, if you wanted to tag Glenn & I you would just tag @clarelou1se and @no64glenn and that's it! Just have a look at what everyone else does and you'll soon get it.

And that's it, told you it was easy, it's just taken you 30 seconds and now you're in the running to win this month's GIVEAWAY, which is a stunning Vanilla Fly 'Coral Poppy' Velvet Cushion (pictured right), which includes shipping if you're not local. Cushion measures 50x50cm.

We'll run the competition for 7 days each time, this one is live NOW and it finishes next Friday (7th May) at 5pm, when we'll draw the winner (to draw the winner we use random number drawing software and we get an independent guest to 'hit the button', quite often Charlotte from Boots The Chemist next door!!).

We'll announce these competitions, as well as what the prizes are, in our Blog at the end of each month, where we'll also announce the previous months' winner.

We'll also announce it all in our (also brand NEW) monthly newsletter - which, if you're not subscribed to, you can do so here: SIGN ME UP! (we only send out 1 newsletter per month and, obviously, you can unsubscribe at any time).

It's fun, it's free, it's quick & easy to enter.....so what are you waiting for? Good luck!

NEW monthly No64 video tour

We've also had LOADS of requests for video tours of No64, perhaps you're not local, or you're isolating, or you're just not quite ready to venture out again yet but you'd like to keep up-to-date with our brands and products.

Well, once again, we've listened to you and we're delighted to launch our monthly video tour! Take it away Spielberg......

Did you enjoy it? The idea is that if you see anything you like, or you'd like to know more about a product you spot, just let us know and we can tell you more about them, we can send you more images, or we can shoot another video of the product just for you!

Here's our email should you have a product question enquiries@no64.co.uk or our telephone number is 01590 643765

What's happened since we were allowed to re-open.....

Thankfully, during the 3 (and hopefully final!) lockdowns, we were very busy online, mainly due to Glenn's past experience with online advertising (I knew he had a use!!). In all seriousness though, the harsh reality is that had Glenn not had that knowledge we would no longer have a business, it's as simple, and scary as that!

And so we thought we'd keep a close eye on people's buying habits, since we were allowed to re-open, and see if we could get ourselves an insight into what the future might look like for us, measuring online Vs. in-store shopping, albeit only a 3 week period.

It didn't come as a great shock to us that we remained very busy online with Annie Sloan chalk paint and accessories, I guess because:

  1. It's not (usually) an item people are desperate for and so are happy to wait until it arrives (although you can order Next Working Day from us too).

  2. (Partly due to point 1) there are still a lot of people who would prefer to shop online, whether it be just as a precaution until we're back to (whatever) normal is going to look like, because they haven't had their COVID jabs, or even because they've decided that that's the way they choose to shop now.

  3. It's just so incredibly quick and easy to do, and so why waste time & fuel jumping into a car when you could be doing something else until your order arrives!

What has surprised me, a little, is that people have still been placing large homewares orders online with us. I must admit I did think people would be desperate to get out and to touch and feel items, such as soft furnishings, providing they could do so safely and in an environment they felt comfortable in, an environment I hope we've done our best to achieve for you.

That's not to say we've not been really busy in-store too, as we certainly have, and I've been so thrilled to see so many of you again, some of you I've not seen for 12 months or more!

I still can't believe what's happened, how long it's been going on for, and emotionally I add, how many people have lost their livelihoods, or even their lives to this awful pandemic. Brings life into perspective.....

And that's it for another month! Have a wonderful bank holiday weekend everyone, hopefully those of you local can pop in and see us, if not take the video tour!

Love to you all,

Clare xx
