No64 Christmas Launch - What a wonderful evening!

We have to start by thanking all of you who came to our Christmas Launch Night on October 31st, it was such a great evening and once again we couldn't have dreamt so many of you would come along.

Especially so as Glenn overlooked the fact it was also Halloween that night (not that I'm blaming him of course as he put a huge amount of work in to making you all aware the evening was happening, sorting invites and RSVPs etc!).

So we hope you enjoyed the evening, and tried a glass of Glögg (Scandinavian Mulled Wine), and we hope you loved this years' No64 Christmas display and goodies.

It was such a delight, also, to present our Goody Bag special candle prize winners, the Gold candle of which carried a £75.00 No64 voucher and was won by lovely No64 customer, Dawn Messenger (pictured).

We need also to thank our team on the night, who did such a fabulous job ensuring you all had drinks, helping you with any questions you had, and of course serving and wrapping your festive purchases.

So Mum, Becca, Jo, Monica & Katy - thank you so much, we couldn't have done it without you and we hope you'll all join us again next year!

The 'Making Milford More Magical at Christmas' project

Next we have to give a huge mention to Tracy Haupt and Diana Brushwood (plus other volunteers and generous donators) who have done an incredible job with the 'Making Milford More Magical at Christmas' project, yet another incredible achievement from a village which never ceases to amaze and deliver!

As well as various super fund raising ideas Tracy and Diana started a crowdfunding project via JustGiving and, stunningly, they achieved 118% of their £1,500 target and raised £1,780 to decorate our village green! You can read all about their amazing efforts via www.milfordonseanews.org which, if you don't already subscribe to, you really ought to?!

The new Christmas decorations will be going up in the village on 2.30pm on Sunday 1st December with Xmas wreaths, garlands and arrangements.  This will be a truly community event with children from Sea Horses Play Group, Milford Explorers, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Pre-School and Primary School, Youth Football Club, Youth Club and Beavers and Cubs who will arrive, to decorate their allocated tree. At dusk all Xmas lights will be switched on!

Amazing work Tracy, Diana and your amazing team - we'll see you there!

Ester & Erik scented candles & diffusers - they're here!

For those of you who loved our Ester & Erik scented candle range but were then hugely disappointed when they were discontinued (not by us I might add!)........the new ones have finally arrived!

Ester & Erik have done an incredible job of re-designing the replacement range we hope you'll agree, within which they've kept some of the old scents (which many of you so-loved), and they've also added matching diffusers, a matching un-scented candle range, and refills for your favourite candle and/or diffuser will be launched soon too.

Rather than go into further detail Glenn's written a full article about Ester & Erik and these beautiful candles & diffusers and so do have a read if you'd like to know more, or go straight to the Ester & Erik 'Scented Candles & Diffusers' section on our website.

As a little teaser, as they do need to be seen and smelt to be fully appreciated, pictured is the 'Transcend' scented candle, beautifully festively styled for you. It comes with a stylish, high grade shiny metal lid which, when flipped, doubles up as a candle holder. As mentioned there is now also a matching diffuser range.

Stunning.

That's it for another month, can you believe it's Christmas in just a few weeks?? Speaking of which we need you to be aware of when we're closed, not over Christmas as we're open most days (including opening on Sunday the 15th & 22nd during December) but in January.

So when we close on Monday December 30th we will not re-open until Monday January 20th, you will be able to order online (in theory!!) but the shop will not be open (we're closed for holiday, decorating, and a major re-style, with new displays and brands to really kick off 2020 with a bang!).

Finally I have a question for you: Quite a few of you have asked if we're having any late night open evenings in December (and you've given us your availability dates). We'd be delighted to do this for you and, of course, in true No64 style we'll make it a fun evening (bubbles, mince pies, Glögg, etc) but could we request dates from you and then we can plan the evening properly?

Perhaps you could email me via clare@no64.co.uk (or just click on my email address); we'll then collate your responses, select the most popular date, and send out invites. Hopefully that works for everyone.

This is our last Blog before Christmas and so have a wonderful one, and do please tune in one last time for my December blog, if you want to of course!

Festive love to you all!

Clare (& Glenn)
