August Blog

It's all about Ralph!

I'm delighted to say that this month has been dominated by the arrival of No64's newest family member, Ralph. Most of you will have already seen a picture of him on either our Instagram feed (@no64bh) or Facebook page (No64 Biscuit House), and lots of you have already come to visit him. Well, who doesn't love a puppy?!

Ralph was born on June 14th just down the road in Keyhaven. Many of you will know Lisa Morgan, of 'Lias's Larder' fame; well Glenn's been patiently waiting for her beautiful Labrador, Betsy, to become a mummy so that he could have one of the pups. Ralph is one of six and all have gone locally and so you may well see more than one gorgeous Lab wandering around the village now they've had all their injections.......

Ralph on the day he joined us, aged 8 weeks!

It's amazing how quickly they grow, here he's the same size as his water bowl, pictured to the right he's nearly twice as big..........and look at the size of those ears and paws!

The picture hundreds of you have 'Liked' & commented on!

2 weeks into his life with us and he has a very cheeky and mischievous personality.......butter wouldn't melt? Tell that to our shoes, slippers, Bailey's bed, and everything else in chew-range!

So onto important No64 business.....

Christmas Launch Night, Thursday October 31st - Are you on our guest list?

Our THIRD (can you believe we'll soon be 3 years old?!) Christmas launch night will be on Thursday 31st October and we must stress that it is invite only.

There are a few reasons for this, the obvious one being that we need to try to control numbers as we don't want you NOT enjoying the experience as it's too busy - we're only a little shop!

If you don't know the format - I will dress & style (what we call) Room 2 of the shop all day (on Thursday 31st October) with our Christmas stock, and so it'll be closed during the day (just Room 2, not the whole shop!).

Then in the evening we have our 'special launch event' during which our invited guests get the opportunity to join us for bubbles (soft drinks will also be available for the drivers amongst you), nibbles, an introduction to our Christmas ranges by me, and you'll get a goody-bag to take away with you.

And, this year, we've added a fun element to the goody-bags as three of them will be 'special' goody-bags. "Whoop whoop" I hear you cry! Drum roll please........

So, if you get one of these three 'special' goody-bags you'll have either a Bronze, a Silver or a Gold candle and each correspond with a voucher, as highlighted below, which you can spend on your next visit.

It's just a bit of fun to get you into the Christmas spirit!

Bronze "Goody Bag' Candle

If you open yopur 'Goody Bag' and discover a Bronze candle you will be entitled to a £25.00 voucher to spend at No64 on your next visit (valid for 6 months from the 31st October, 2019).

Silver "Goody Bag' Candle

If you open yopur 'Goody Bag' and discover a Silver candle you will be entitled to a £50.00 voucher to spend at No64 on your next visit (valid for 6 months from the 31st October, 2019)..

Gold "Goody Bag' Candle

If you open yopur 'Goody Bag' and discover a Gold candle you will be entitled to a £75.00 voucher to spend at No64 on your next visit (valid for 6 months from the 31st October, 2019).

We are going to send out invites BY EMAIL towards the end of September and so have we got your email address? After posting this Blog we will also post about our launch night on Facebook & Instagram, we'll email our existing 'opted in' customer database, and we'll be mentioning it to you in the shop.

If you would like to attend please let us know as we can't do much more than this to make you're aware it's happening! CLICK HERE if you aren't on our database or email clare@no64.co.uk and we'll add you, you'll then receive your invite.....simples.

And finally.........

Dansk Smykkekunst Copenhagen, Fashion Jewelley and Accessories, arrives at No64!

We're thrilled to tell you that we've been selected as a UK stockist for Danish Jewellery & Accessories brand, Dansk Smykkekunst. What we really love about Dansk is that their ethos is to design and make unique and attractive fashion jewellery available to their customers at an affordable price.

They achieve this by using base material metals Copper or Brass, which are then plated with 14 carat Gold, sterling Silver, Hematite, Rose Gold, or Rhodium (Rhodium is a fine precious metal, like Silver, but unlike Silver it doesn’t oxidize).

In addition, Dansk jewellery is made using semi-precious stones, beads, glass, or freshwater pearls. Mother of pearls and enamels are all selected from the highest quality available. All earring ‘sticks’ are made from surgical steel.

In summary, Dansk fashion jewellery is beautiful, affordable, and is available in-store and online NOW at No64 Biscuit House.......come and have a look, you'll find me wearing some pretty much whenever you visit!

Oh and Dansk also make an accessories range which includes scarves, bags and gloves and guess what...........we've ordered some of those in too! :)

For further information about Dansk we've published an article, their story is very interesting, which is another reason why we wanted to work for them.

And that's it for another month. Next month we're off to MAISON&OBJET in Paris which, if you haven't heard of it, is the largest home decor exhibition in Europe. There we hope to find you some more fabulous suppliers, so watch out for next moth's Blog post.

We really hope we're still do things right for you, that every time your visit us you see lots of new things, and that most of all.........you're having a wonderful Summer!

See you on our Christmas Launch Night?

Lots of love,

Clare (& Glenn)
