No64 October Blog
31 October 2018
Well there's really only one topic for this month's Blog piece, Christmas and our 'Private View' launch evening on Thursday 18th October - I hope you didn't miss it!
The idea came from a PR contact of Glenn's last year; as you know it was our first year and the idea was to raise awareness of No64 Biscuit House in the local area by inviting our friends, acquaintances, contacts, their friends, etc for a a special launch night of our Christmas ranges.
The following three pictures were taken on the night......
We provided Prosecco on arrival, a free goody bag, etc and it couldn't have gone better. We estimate we had over 200 people through here in just under 3 hours and so for little old us it was definitely a retail experience we won't forget, new to it as we were then!
I loved just seeing little groups of people drinking their Prosecco, relaxed and just chatting, it was exactly what I wanted to see. That's why we had to do it again, but this time with a little help......
Thank you The Wash House & La Perle
As our next door neighbour, and go-to Milford on Sea restaurant, Sam at La Perle jumped at the chance to help out when we asked him what he thought we could do on our night.
He offered to provide a free 'house' cocktail for our guests, which also gave him the opportunity to show off his brand new concept and menu, which we highly recommend if you've not tried it yet. He also provided a gift voucher which went into our free goody-bag.
And Milford's very own micro ale bar, The Wash House, generously provided the Prosecco for our evening, as well as a drinks offer for our guests, the perfect 'tonic' when things got a little hectic here at No64!
Darren & Jackie, Wash House co-owners, also provided our guests with a voucher, which went into our goody-bag, which meant a bumper selection for those of you who came along to join us.
We'd like to thank both The Wash House and La Perle for their amazing support both on the night, and in general, between us I think we've really shown what village life's really all about!
We'd also like to thank you, our customers, for your support during our second year, it goes without saying that without you we couldn't do any of this. So thank you and, slightly early but sticking with the theme, Merry Christmas!!
Oh and I must mention, for those of you unable to visit us in person or for you online shopping enthusiasts, that Glenn's spent many hours building the Christmas @ No64! section on our website, everything's on there!
You can search for your festive goodies via your favourite No64 brand, be it PTMD Collection or Lene Bjerre, or you can search the following categories to take you straight to what you're looking for: Christmas Candles & Diffusers, Christmas Decorations, Christmas Pots, Vases & Votives and Christmas Ornaments.
Hampshire Life - 'SHOP GIRL', November issue
Those wonderful people at Hampshire Life have published a 4 page article about us (pages 124-137)!
It's called 'SHOP GIRL' and is featured in the current edition, which is the November issue, both in magazine form and online.
I always get really nervous about being interviewed, but at the same time feel so honoured anyone would even want to interview me in the first place!
Emma Caulton, as always, was great though and made me feel comfortabke during our time together and I really hope you enjoy reading what she's written about Glenn & I, No64 Biscuit House, our home, and even our pets, Bailey the Labrador (who everyone knows!) and Ester & Erik, our kittens :)
And finally, Glenn's about to send out some Annie Sloan Workshop dates via email to those of you who have requested the information. Do hurry with your responses though as our courses have all filled up very quickly so far.
If you're not on our Annie Sloan Fan Club email list then click on the link or email us via [email protected] and ask to be added.
Well that's it for October; onto November we go and it's colder, darker, and another month closer to Christmas - woop woop!
Thank you for reading, as always, so much love,
