No64 July Blog

Another month flies by and activity at No64 remained at a feverish pace! We opened our new Annie Sloan 'show-room', there's a 7 page article in Coast about us (Sept issue, out now), Glenn went on a business trip I was a little jealous of, and our newest supplier is gorgeous Copenhagen jewellery brand Hultquist!

A business trip to remember!

You may have read, or heard the story in person from our very own salty sea dog, that Glenn went on a rather interesting business trip recently. Steve Megson, owner of our website development & business management company Quiet Storm, is a very busy man......

Our website is about to be completely re-developed and Steve came up with a meeting venue Glenn didn't seem to be able to refuse.

He was taking his motor yatch from Poole to Spain, and asked Glenn if he'd like to join him for the last week of their trip, between Sete and Denia, where they could discuss our website project & future marketing!

Steve wrote a fantastic Blog of the whole trip, which took a month in total, here's the leg of the trip Glenn was on, or you can read about the whole trip building up to when Glenn joined them.

Thinking back I'm sure Glenn used that reverse psychology technique, you know the one, repeatedly saying he didn't have the time to spare, couldn't leave me for a week on my own, etc and making me say "don't be silly, you have to go, I can cope easily"!!

As you'll read, and see from the pictures, they did nothing but work! Yeah, right!

Above is Glenn's favourite photo, it was their first night and they were in the tiny Spanish port of Estartit wining & dining and looking at this stunning sunset, I wasn't jealous!!

Hultquist-Copenhagen now available at No64

Over many months we've been asking our customers "what would you look to see at No64 we don't currently have?". The concensus was definitely a few jewellery pieces, and so I set out on a sourcing mission, and after a couple of months I ordered from a fabulous Danish brand called Hultquist-Copenhagen.

Here's an exert from their website that says it as well as I could:

"Anne Hultquist and her team continuously design an extensive range of feminine and bohemian fashion jewellery influenced by the classical Scandinavian look expressing individualism and fashion awareness.

Special part of the collection with semi precious stones has for many years been handmade in our workshop in Copenhagen."

I'm delighted to say the collection has gone down extremely well and we've already placed our second order :)

NEW Annie Sloan show-room at No64!

I always seem to have something to say about Annie Sloan but that's because the brand really does go from strength to strength for us, this month we opened our very own No64 dedicated Annie Sloan show-room!

So instead of Annie's famous paint and accessories range, which so many of you love, being tucked away in a corner of the shop it now has its own room!

I've styled it, of course, and now you're able to see all of Annie's famous products, as well as get demos of paint mixing and other bits & pieces, from Glenn (this will be subject to availability i.e. we'll both have to be here and/or you could make an appointment).

Again, as with all of these things, it's a trial but I think we're fairly certain it'll be a huge hit - let us know what you think?

Don't also forget our Annie Sloan Workshop program, August dates released very soon :)

Thanks so much, as always, for all of your love & support, looking forward to seeing you soon.

Lots of love,

Clare xx
