I've been a stylist all my life, working with brands across the globe, and I've used this experience to source stock for my homeware & interiors shop, No64 Biscuit House, with what I hope you'll agree are some of the finest examples of Danish homewares available in the UK today, and I never stop looking!

Danish homeware brands in stock and in store

I've selected these three sumptuous Danish brands as each of their ranges is very different, I think they reflect perfectly how unique and individual Scandinavian design & creativity is, and has always been.

I'll happily admit I often pinch myself as I peruse our shop at their products, tweaking my styling as I go, and I never take for granted the fact we've been accepted as UK stockists for not one, but all of these wonderful brands.

The Lene Bjerre image epitomises our first Summer with them, it's simply stunning, reflecting their product ranges perfectly. This Madam Stoltz image reveals their heavily Indian influenced heritage, one of six recently released canvases, all of which are simply stunning. And finally Ester & Erik who, for me, have raised the bar in candle making and presentation.

Let's have a look at my product of the week from each of these wonderful brands.....

Danish Homewares UK

Candelle Table Lamp

Lene Bjerre merge current trends with the classic Scandinavian feel "because of the light that surrounds us".

This beautiful hand-made, Brass Candelle Table Lamp, finished stylishly in silver, will definitely bring harmony to any room.

The white shade is made from 100% Flax for that luxurious touch, enhancing the feeling of quality.

Madam Stoltz Canvases

I have to stay with these amazing Madam Stoltz canvases as we've waited so long for them to arrive, they were worth the wait.

There are five in the range and they come in two sizes, this one pictured being my personal favourite, it's just so striking.

They don't come framed and so it's up to you how you hang them :)

King Christian of Denmark

In Denmark CHRISTIAN is an old-fashioned name closely linked to Scandinavian history and their royal family.

This Ester & Erik Christian Candle combines the natural scents of the forest with both the wisdom and the spirit of the old trees and green leaves.

So those are my products of the week from three of the Danish brands we stock at No64 Biscuit House, it was an incredibly difficult choice to make as there are so many beautiful things to choose from, all of which you can browse and buy from our online shop.

Here's why I chose them.....

We chose Lene Bjerre for many reasons. I love their story, their love of merging handicrafts with design, and trends with tradition.

They're based in the Northern part of Demark, situated close by the sea, in the midst of nature, where the light is spectacular. This is where the inspiration for Lene Bjerre comes from and why it's so quintessentially Scandinavian. Working with them, for me, was a no-brainer.

Madam Stoltz we chose for very different reasons. Pernille Stoltz, Madam Stoltz founder, is an amazingly inspirational woman and we just fell in love with her passion for her brand. She has a deep fascination of the Asian style of living and the ability to seize the opportunities popping up when on the move. The majority of her products are made by hand, step by step, and this is what makes every Madam Stoltz collection so special.

And Ester & Erik. To be absolutely honest we stumbled upon them during our recent trip to Masin&Objet in Paris and fell in love with them straight away. Amongst the hundreds of candle makers at the show they just seemed different, they seemed 'on another level'.

We've started by stocking their new scented candle range, the scents, and the presentation & packaging, are just wonderful and they've quickly become a favourite with our customers.

Of course Scandinavia isn't just about Denmark, we have some fabulous Swedish suppliers too, Affari and ON Interiör to name but two, but that's a story for another day :)
