We're 6 months old! So do we stop telling people we're new now? We really have had such a great time and of course it's all down to you :)
When we first opened, way back in February :) I styled some shots, using some of our first ever stock, with an amazing photographer I've known and worked with for many years. He did it for me as a favour (for which I think I still owe him!), and I'd really like to share some of these images with you as they're amazing and haven't all had the exposure they definitely deserve!

Tine K Glass LanternsI just love this shot, the lanterns are rather gorgeous too! They come in 2 different sizes and are handmade from glass delicately incased in iron. Shot together, like this, we just thought they looked amazing. We have 1 of the large size left and 3 of the smaller size, we can't get any more though and so be quick if you'd like one. |
Lene Bjerre Cup & SpoonI had to include this shot as this product was the first we ever sold out of! It's a funky cup & spoon set that took us by surprise popularity-wise. In fact a regular customer recently ordered 10 and so we got more in especially for her and so we have some left, they were/are a very popular gift.....maybe we should get more for Christmas......hmm.

Pots, Bowls & Artificial PlantsI love this shot and I thought it was quite topical as it's rather Autuminal don't you think? I'm not trying to sell you stuff and so I won't list these items, just let me know if there's anything you like and I'll let you know if we still have any left. As mentioned it's our first ever stock, makes me feel a little emotional, how sad is that??

Preview Shot & CapturesPhotography jargon :) This computer program allows us to view our styled images, we then select the shot we feel fits the client brief. I love this shot as it's me unpacking our first ever order, just look at the mess around me! Such a special memory though, I almost can't picture what these rooms were like pre-stock days. |

Next month, September, we're off to Maison & Objet in Paris, woohoo!
M&O, if you didn't know, is described as:
"among the 3 most important European events for interior design ... a huge collection of innovation and talent all in one place".
It's a monster trade fair where we hope to pick up new ideas, trends and suppliers ready for next year. REALLY looking forward to it. We went last year before we opened, we're now an established retailer and so we really can't wait, even Glenn's excited!
Annie Sloan
I think it's fair to say that both Glenn & I have fallen in love with the whole Annie Sloan chalk paint phenomenon, we're itching to get to Annie HQ in Oxford to do the training so we can deliver workshops here in Milford!
Autumn/Winter is here
We're starting to put our Autumn/Winter stock out, I can't believe we're only weeks away from putting our Christmas stock out, something I'm brimming with excitement about – our first Christmas at No64!
Canvas prints - Finally here!
We told you about our new supplier, Madam Stoltz, last month and as we'd hoped they've been a huge hit.
We're waiting on some fabulous canvas prints from them that I'm so excited about, here's a sneak preview, they're with the courier from Denmark right now!
We've just put them onto our website/online shop, there are various prints to choose from, all gorgeous I might add, and we've ordered a few of each.
Not a sales pitch but we've waited 6 weeks for these to arrive and we have a feeling they're going to fly off the shelves, at least one into our house I might add!

There are 5 styles and 2 sizes, the one pictured here being the only one measuring 80cm x 120cm, the others all measure 47cm x 70cm, and they're priced accordingly.

We post on there at least once daily, often new stock we've just ordered and so that's where you can see what's coming before it hits the shelves!
Sounds crazy but when we order from images, rather than touching & feeling products, you never really know exactly what they'll be like.
To give you an example we just got in 2 beautiful cast iron, bronze antique finished wine coolers. They were £145.00 each and we sold them both the day we put them on the shelves! They 'were' gorgeous and now we have to wait 2 weeks for some more to arrive from Sweden :(

Well I think that's about it for this month, September, we're told, should be a great month, plus we've our trip to Paris to look forward to, so enjoy the Bournemouth Air Show (if you're local) and have a wonderful month!
